Join members of Contemplative Outreach of Central Iowa (COCI) Centering Prayer community for this monthly gathering.

Each session will include time for centering prayer and careful study and discussion of two works side by side (copies available for purchase):

The Cloud of Unknowing (anonymous)

The study will continue to meet monthly on the second Tuesday of each month.

On the 1st Tuesday of the month, we listen to an audio presentation of the "Spiritual Journey" series by Thomas Keating, the Trappist monk who has developed the contemporary practice of Centering Prayer, a prayer of silence deeply rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition, see schedule below.

On the 3rd Tuesday of the month, we listen to an audio presentation on spirituality either from Contemplative Outreach or another source.

All sessions begin with a greeting time followed by a 30 minute Centering Prayer sit. Then we listen to the CD followed by discussion.
